A whole post dedicated to
lipglosses, there's something I thought I'd never see on my blog! But
all in the name of Burberry of course. It's a well known fact that I
hate lipglosses apart from on the rare occasion so it has to be said
that I was the ideal candidate to put this lot through their paces. The
sleek and classic packaging makes these glosses superior to anything
else in my collection, if I were ever going to be impressed by a
lipgloss this was the best chance. Upon applying the product to my lips I
loved the silky rather than sticky texture and the fact they taste like
Turkish Delight, so another big plus on that count. They are also really pigmented and what I would best describe as a finish between a lip stain and gloss. Finally, I found
that the product lasted on my lips for longer than expected, in my eyes
they are the perfect glosses to try out if you are a typical lipgloss
hater. They may be pricey but put those horrible sticky pink cheap
lipglosses to shame.
Coral No.22 £18 - I usually don't go for coral colours on my lips but I really like the blue undertones in this that give it a slightly frosty finish. If you were to choose just one lipgloss for the Summer season this would most certainly be it.
Vintage Gold No.18 (limited edition) £19 - When I first saw this shade
I thought to myself 'brown lipgloss? yuck' but surprisingly it's turned
out to be my favourite of the bunch. I've never really tried a warm
toned lipgloss before and maybe that's why I've never got on well with
them before, this shade really suits my skin tone and is like a 'my lips
but better' shade. It makes my lips turn a deeper shade of red with a
hint of sparkle, definitely well worth a look if you hate the typical
pink lipgloss shades.
Pink Sweet Pea No.20 £18 - Last but not least is this bright fuchsia pink, it has no shimmer or glitter making it a great choice for those who like a simple lip colour. I really like this one as it brings out the green in my eyes really nicely and doesn't look too glossy. This will be my go to shade for Spring!
I agree that Burberry mastered these colours, even if not a lipgloss fan...Vintage Gold looks tempting too, seeing it turning into a MLBB hue
