models own indian ocean

A few weeks ago I did a blog post on this Models Own nail polish in 'Indian Ocean' layered over a grey shade but I thought I'd just do a quick post on how the nail polish looks on its own as well. Even though the polish is pretty opaque and I had to use four coats the colour pay off is still pretty strong and is one of my favourite shades at the moment. Due to all the different glitter reflects the colour changes from pink, to blue and green with a gold shimmer. For just £5 it's a lovely polish to have in your collection and is one of the most eye catching varnishes that I own, it always gets a lot of comments.

john frieda luxurious volume range

For the last month or so I've ventured into using the John Frieda Luxurious Volume range on my hair and I have to say that I'm definitely impressed with the results. Typically I have rather dry and frizzy hair, not necessarily lacking volume but in my books the more volume the better so I'm always quick to reach for the hairspray or any volumising products. To have found a range that not only boosts the shine in my hair but gives it great volume and smooths frizz is my idea of heaven and the deal breaker is the fact the range is affordable and due to the small amount of product you need to use on your hair the tubes last ages. The shampoo is pretty wonderful since you only need to use a dime sized amount at a time because it lathers up so well. There is no particular scent to the range, no fancy fruity smells unfortunately, just the standard clean hair smell but that is good enough. The thickening hairspray is another gem in the collection as I've found out the past few weeks it's literally the perfect option to give your hair a quick blast of volume before heading out.

John Frieda Luxurious Volume Thickening Shampoo and Conditioner - £5.79 each

carmex lip products

For super soft kissable lips I find Carmex products serve me well every time, I get such dry lips at times that no ordinary lip balms ever solve the problem but applying Carmex a few times a day means my lips stay hydrated and completely soothe chapped lips. The tube version is my favourite as it seems to be the most moisturising and even though the little pot is handy I'm not a massive fan of sticking my fingers into lip balm unless my hands are clean. The tinted version is brilliant if your lips are just that little bit too dry to use a lipstick but you still want a nice sheen on your lips and slight tint of pink to pick up the colour in your lips. The best part about Carmex products is they are so affordable and easy to get hold of from most supermarkets and of course in Boots and Superdrug.

Carmex Moisture Plus Lip Balm in Pink Sheer Tint - £4.49
