my blog turns one

I can't believe that its been a whole year already, to be honest it feels like I've always been a blogger now. I just wanted to do this post to say a massive thank you to not only my nearly 900 readers but for the masses of lovely comments that you all leave for me on a daily basis. It's the days when you feel like crap and log into blogger to see that people have left you such nice comments that makes it all worth it. I have to say that I never expected to get so many followers, I guess it shows that a little bit of hard work goes a long way. I don't really like to call you lot my 'followers' but more like friends that like to catch up with what I am doing and trust my opinions of products. It's amazing that so many of you can relate to me and the fact that I've had over 600 formspring comments/questions generally just being so nice and interested in me as a person. And not just that but all the lovely girls that I talk to on twitter and that I can go to for advice has been a god send. In all that time I've managed to be noticed by beauty brands and them trusting me with their products to send me things worth a lot of money, and for someone my age that is a massive achievement. I've even been asked to exclusive events and to tour companies offices which is really surreal to me as just a girl that talks too much and has strong opinions. My blog isn't even about what lotions and potions to try out in an effort to make yourself look ten years younger, it's about the fact that the make up industry has such a positive impact on woman's lives these days in relation to taking care of yourself and making yourself feel good. I've learnt so much about the beauty industry and about being a blogger and that kind of experience you can't put a price on. For the next year I want to carry on my blog in the exact same direction and possibly start you tube. I'm also going to my first event at the end of February so getting to meet other bloggers will be really exciting. There will also be a big giveaway coming up on my blog in a few days when I hit 800 google followers as a thank you, so keep your eyes peeled for that! :)
