free models own make up kit

I picked up two fabulous magazines in the news of the world for two sundays in a row like I'm sure a lot of the rest of you did so that I could get the free models own make up kit. It's not something that you need in your life so don't worry if you didn't manage to pick one up but it is pretty handy and considering it only costs £2 it's a really good deal. Models own are also offering 25% if you click here which I will be sure to get a few nail polishes with. Out of the kit I like the tweezers, eyelash curlers and eye shadow duo but the mascara and liquid eye liner are terrible and definitely haven't done models own any favours. If manage to find a news of the world paper with the fabulous magazine inside this week then collect the token and get one again next sunday as it is a good offer if not just for the tweezers, eyelash curlers & eye shadow duo.

The tweezers are my favourite thing out of the set. I adore the hot pink metallic colour and the fact that they are really sharp and easy to use. They remind me a lot of my tweezerman tweezers which I forked out a lot of money for so time will tell if they are comparable or not.

The eyelash curlers are really good also and the spring makes them really easy to use. I like them a lot because you can easily vary the pressure that you use to curl your lashes. Some people may find that they curl the lashes a bit too much though which I wasn't so pleased about but apart from that they are pretty decent.

The liquid eye liner is horrendous. The brush that comes with it is really stiff like an actual felt tip pen and when you try to draw a line it is impossible as the brush is so hard and useless. It's a shame as the product inside is really black/glossy and well pigmented. When I tried to wash the swatches off it was really difficult which proves what a good eye liner it could have been if it wasn't for the utterly pointless brush.

I actually really like the eyeshadows. They are well pigmented and are two lovely colours that I would use for a smoky eye. They are quite powdery so you've got to be careful when applying them but I really like the compact that they come in too.

I'm not a fan of the mascara. I guess if you like natural looking mascaras then you may like it as you can barely see it and when you feel your lashes they feel weak like they have no product on at all. It does do a nice job of separating the lashes but apart from that it is pointless and it takes forever to get some product onto the lashes.

  1. The eyeshadows look so pretty! I wish I lived in the UK! Magazines here are pretty expensive, PLUS they don't add all this cool stuff.

  3. I picked up my make-up kit today. Haven't had a chance to try it out yet but thought that the liquid liner brush looked a bit strange which is a shame as I really need a new one...Still, not bad for £2! x
