bourjois twist up the volume mascara

Today the newest mascara to from Bourjois landed through my door, it's quite a while off from being available to buy in stores yet but I know how you all love an exclusive sneaky peek at products before they've launched. I admit that I'm a bit of a mascara snob and as a rule I favour my Yves Saint Laurent False Lash Effect over anything else, but this genius invention from Bourjois has totally changed my viewpoint. It's designed to be a 'two in one' type of mascara, you apply your first coat using the position 1 setting which lengthens and separates, and then move on to position 2 by twisting the device at the end, which then thickens and volumises the lashes. I'm the kind of girl who likes full on dramatic lashes every single day but this kind of design means you can have a more natural look for the day and also bulk up your lashes for an evening look, I usually have a few different mascaras lying around depending on how I want my lashes to look but would happily swap those in for this multi-use version. It's fair to say that my lashes are looking the thickest and darkest they ever have, and not only that but they are left feeling light and not at all weighed down once the mascara has dried. I've been so impressed by this mascara thus far, if it manages to last well in the tube for a couple of months then I'd certainly recommend it to anyone who favours a volumising mascara. You will have to hold on until October for it to become available, but trust me it will be worth the wait!

molton brown anti-bacterial rok mint hand wash & lotion

I've always loved Molton Brown, be it their bubble baths or posh hand washes to show off in your bathroom, and if you are after some fancy bottles of hand cream it's the first place to look. Yes, they are expensive, for essentially just hand wash and hand lotion but there's nothing wrong with a bit of luxury when it comes to keeping your hands looking lovely. The rok mint scent is sophisticated yet fresh and the set would also make an ideal gift.

'February 2012 sees the launch of Molton Brown’s first ever anti-bacterial fine liquid hand wash, as part of their new Rok Mint Hand Duo. A sophisticated aroma of basil, blackcurrant and mint, the new duo leaves hands smooth and protected whilst providing clinically proven anti-bacterial care. The Rok Mint soothing hand lotion contains a shea butter complex, further preventing moisture loss and ensuring hands are left with a soft velvety after-feel'

Rok Mint fine liquid hand wash - £15.00 (300ml)
Rok Mint smoothing hand lotion - £15.00 (300ml)

pre-release review: sleek caribbean collection

So moving quite swiftly on from yesterdays post that applied to only the moneybags of you all, today I will be reviewing another great collection by Sleek. And since we have been having weather identical to the Caribbean lately it's rather apt. I was actually lucky enough to go to the Caribbean a year or so ago and went to quite a few different islands and can definitely say Sleek have captured the colours and feel of the Caribbean perfectly.

Aruba Blush - £4.29

Yeah it really is a bright orange tangerine coloured blush. Don't let that put you off though because as I said a few posts ago you can blend the blush out to look completely subtle. Worth investing in if you are bored of the same old pink blush, as long as you use a light hand!

Bonaire Pout Polish - £4.29

I hadn't tried a pout polish by Sleek before but had heard lots of good things about them and it definitely didn't disappoint. The packaging is perfect and ahemm.. 'Sleek'.. perfect to pop in your bag for the beach. The colour is fairly sheer but has a subtle orange tint while on the lips, perfect with a tan. It has the moisturising feel of a lip balm (it's enriched with Avocado and Sweet Almond Oil) yet the sheen of a gloss.

CuraƧao I-Divine Eyeshadow Palette - £6.49

Another fab eyeshadow palette by Sleek, after all that is what they are mainly famed for. If you like bright eyeshadows you most definitely love this palette. I love the burnt orange with gold shimmer, the pearly white colour and the olive green with gold glitter best. And to be honest the palette would be worth purchasing even if you only like half the colours, you could pretty much afford two palettes for the same price as one Mac eyeshadow. That's almost 24 eyeshadows instead of the price for one!

The collection is available from the 6th of July for a limited time only from Superdrug stores or  www.sleekmakeup.com

pre-release review: nars blush/bronzer trio

Hi dolls, just a quick post on the new 'Orgasm, Albatross, Laguna Blush/Bronzer Trio' today. It will be available along with some other great limited edition pieces in May. I love the packaging, the design reminds me of a tiny clutch, has a zip to open and a large mirror inside. It's perfect for when you are on the go as you get blush, bronzer and highlighter in one handy compact. All of the shades included happen to be my three favourite cheek products by Nars so I definitely recommend getting hold of one. I reckon it will be a really popular product and as it's limited edition start saving your pennies now. It also makes a great purchase if you have yet to try the three shades. The compact costs £39 but it's a unique item by Nars and as you get 15g of product that compares almost the same as gram per pound as a Mac blusher!

''Three iconic NARS products, one portable zip-around compact. With Orgasm Blush, Albatross Highlighting Powder and Laguna Bronzing Powder, this limited-edition trio makes a flawless complexion more attainable than ever.''
