purple dotted nails

MODELS OWN PURPLE GREY & UTOPIA | ILLAMASQUA JAN | L'OREAL FLASHING LILAC | DOTTING TOOL

If you are a regular reader of my blog then you will probably be well aware by now that I'm a huge fan of dotted nail art, I bought some dotting tools from ebay about a year ago now and have created tons of looks with them since. This time I decided to go for a purple shade range and applied lots of random little dots at the base of my nails, I wanted the dots to have a messy looking effect so didn't make an effort to keep it looking neat which meant they were even easier to do than usual. I used a sheer nude pink colour for the base as I wanted the natural nail to show through slightly which I think looks more effortless and chic. I'm going to try this out with blue colours next time which will look beautiful with a tan in summer!

  5. Oh, your nails look so charming and gentle and girly and... just plain adorable!
I also feel obliged to say your natural nail shape is perfect, you get to have quite a lot of space for nail artistry without having to have witch long nails. And your cuticles look incredibly taken care of. Yeah, I have a weird affinity for gentle and tender looking nails and hands.
I've never tried any of the Illamasqua polishes (I think that's the base), but now I'm definitely going to.
    Thanks for sharing!
