soap and glory reviews, post one

'The righteous butter' moisturising body butter

I'm pretty sure that this is one of those products that you will either love or not get on with. First off it is heavenly scented, just like all of the soap and glory products, of which I can only describe as a sweet and sexy scent. It comes in a lovely pot as you can see and just like all of their products it's a joy to look at on your dressing table. If you have dry to very dry skin then this body butter will be absolutely perfect for you but some people may find it a little too thick. Don't get me wrong, it sinks into the skin easily and feels really velvety and soft though. Definitely a product for winter but you would want to ditch it for a while in the summer when it would feel too thick. It does however come in a tester size if you want to try it out before you buy the bigger version.

'Sexy mother pucker' lip gloss in pink apricot

I will start off straight away by saying this is a fairly sticky lip gloss. It's not like full on gloop though and it's definitely bearable. It starts off by tasting a little bit like chocolate and then after about five minutes you feel a small tingling sensation that starts to plump the lips. Personally I already have big lips so plumping them up is never a problem but my mum, who has fairly thin lips, also tested it and it worked really well on her. I'd actually go as far to say that it made a really big difference from what I could see. The colour of the gloss is a very sheer pink colour that looks nice over pretty much any lipstick or just nude lips. The same gloss also comes in more shades such as 'candy gloss', 'plum juice', 'clear', 'nude' & 'peach'.

'Flake away' body scrub

A lot of body scrubs that I have tried in the past have turned out to be really pointless and left my skin looking and feeling just as it did before my shower, but this works really well. I apply a small handful to my skin and then scrub away for a minute or so and then wash all of the scrub off. The scrub feels a tad gritty but that is the reason that it buffs away the dead skin so well. I had a nightmare with my skin back in the summer when I came back from Turkey as my skin went really scaly and dry and this was the only body scrub to sort that out. All the others that I tried were frankly pathetic in comparison. The only slight down side is that some people may dislike the small layer of residue left on the skin once its washed off. It's not a big issue as it does make the skin feel lovely and moisturised afterwards but just bare it in mind if you don't like that kind of thing. And again, they sell a tester size for this also at 50ml so you can try that out before you invest in a big pot.
